Historic Bellingham then and nowVolunteers run The Heritage Centre, Bellingham, at the Railway Station Yard. The collection includes a significant resource of images of local rural life in the 1920s, taken by photographer W P Collier, a resident of Bellingham. A reconstruction of his shop displays cameras that trace the history of photography. Other displays include artefacts and images on the Border Counties Railway, that used to run from Hexham to Riccarton; Border Reivers; local history. Investigating changes in lifestyle through a selection of Collier's photographs and comparing them with contemporary images. All visits must be booked in advance: telephone 01434 220050 Curriculum
